Athens

June 1, 2008 in Travel | Comments (0)

So, now we are in Athens!!! We had a few hour layover here on our way to Tel Aviv so we took the bus to the sea and walked around the beach a bit. It’s late here but we also found an internet cafe and then we are back to the airport for our flight. We went to church again this morning in BG! It was fast and testimony meeting so we got to share our testimonies for one last time before we left BG again. It was kinda sad to leave again. But we had such a fun time driving all over the country in our lil rental car! AND we didn’t get a single scratch on the car after all those narrow roads and curb parking =)
I will miss everyone here in BG so much. But now we are on to the unknown and more adventerous part of our trip. Now we will not have a car, not know the language, and have no idea where to go next! But that’s the ‘spirit of traveling’ (as our new friend Gabi said – a Jewish hitchhiker from Florida that we met on the train home from Istanbul and spent the day with in Plovdiv!) and it’s fun to just go with it and be creative.
We stayed in a nice, but cheap hostel last night and plan to do the same for the rest of the trip!
Anyway, we are alive and WELL!!
More to come
