Federal Reserve Mall

WE and I drove by Crossroads Mall a few weekends ago when we were in OKC for the NCAA. It was a pathetic piece of property. Come to find out, the Fed owns it as part of the Bear Sterns bailout a few years back.

NPR did a planet money on it, and aside from the brief synopsis of the podcast (including references to Oklahoma, JCPenney, and Toxie) – I was highly amused by the reader’s comments. On that note, I just wanted to let you know that NPR has officially named their toxic asset:

I must admit, that I’m disappointed that Tulip didn’t win…and Kenny? Come on, seriously?

In case you didn’t know, you can track Toxie to the bitter end on npr.org

Ha ha! That mall looked like a recession.

Also, I’m super disappointed that Kenny didn’t win, but I still LOVE LOVE LOVE planet money.
